Boo!

With fall arriving and all the halloween decorations everywhere I felt it was time to preview this. It’s obviously not done, but it’s coming along. I have been collecting halloween fabrics for some time now. See DS decided he must have a halloween quilt. So I have gotten several fabrics since Janunary. I must admit here that I probally certainly have too many. I came up with the quilt pattern myself. I wanted something that would piece together quickly and show off the halloween-ness of it. The only thing I should have done was make the construction seams easier. See I was going for random, which is great, but I don’t have any major seams. So I am now forced to set in ALOT of the pieces. I don’t mind, that’s not hard, but it takes more time. Guess I should also mention that the huge squares (red & yellow in the pic above) are for applique.
Broken Camera
I have been trying to post for almost a week now. And the frustration is starting to hit. See we have this old camera. Ever since we first got it it’s had problems. Usually the batteries are always dead (the camera drains them in less then a day). But now the thing is taking on new quirks. Like dying whenever I push the take a picture button or quiting responding mid picture taking. So here you are… a picture from a few weeks ago.

Another BOM photo. Sorry about the wrinkles. I didn’t press it when I got it out of the container for this photo.
Quilting

Here’s one of my 2006 Block of the Month squares. I take this class out at Bernina. I really enjoy getting out the house to go and do my own thing. It’s a great little break from the little ones. I think every mom should have some time for herself. When I was picking out the colors for this years quilt, I really had no idea what I wanted. I had just given birth to my youngest and was still on painkillers. But off I went to the store. This is very abnormal for me. I almost always know what I am going to do next. I already know what I’m doing next year.

Here it is up close and personal. I think for not having any ideas, pre-buying anyway, this is going well.

Cannot find image
I ordered some fabric for DS’ halloween quilt. I had bought some fabric from HancockFabrics.com and also JoAnn.com. It was in the discount area of their website. Yeah! I got most of it for over 60% off. I had bought some fabric at the local stores, but there wasn’t any halloween fabrics.
Here’s the close up. One of them is really a sparkly fabric (the purple one).
That’s all I have for now.
