The Yuckies
I have them. Unfortuntally I have been sick all week. I had big hopes for my craft fair and now, well, I feel sort of disappointed about it. I was going to sew all week these beautiful things to bring, but instead I was laid up feeling crummy. I finally went to the doctor today since I wasn’t getting any better and turns out I have a sinus infection, bronichitis, and a ear infection. She gave me some meds, but said it would take a bit to feel better. Really I’m just hoping that this pressure goes away and my eyes stop looking like I’ve been crying for hours. Can you just imagine trying to sell something looking like you just stepped off the tear express?!?

My little baby is not so little anymore. She is a mere 7 months old, still an infant. But today she completed the first step in being a bit more independant. She pulled up. She did it unassisted, holding onto the train table (which doubles as a coffee table). Everything is coming so fast. I’m left wondering what happened between Janunary when she was born and now. Isn’t she too little for this? She doesn’t think so.

Babies Are…

So stinking cute. When I was pregnant with my second I wondered how it would be having two. Something I never expected was the feeling I’d experience when seeing them play together. Now that I have three babies, that wonderful warm feeling is only growing. I still wonder how someone so small can have such a hold over you. Beautiful.

I finally own a serger. The little beauty showed up this afternoon. I have been busy saving for many months (feels like years) for one. I decided on getting a Babylock since I had heard such wonderful things about them. I ended up purchasing the evolve (used of course). I have never owned a serger before, but was able to thread it following the instruction book. Really it wasn’t too hard and I think maybe I even did it right! I hope now I can really begin to create more of finished garment.
Here’s a picture of the newest machine….

I also have some fo’s to show, but really they were very simple. Of course they are Otto, I am in LOVE with that mag, can’t you tell. Both are leggings for DD, the cream one was worn under the fairy halloween costume. It was really cold here the other night, so I lined them in a plain white knit.

And lastly, a photo of some of the other sewing I do…Repairs. I let them pile up usually, as I despise them. These are actually the ones I have set on my sewing chair. They consist of a pair of hunting pants for my brother that need shortening, a shirt that DD has broken some stitching on, and lastly a pair of leggings that I would like to fix a bit more. I don’t know if others think this way, but I find repairing so boring.
