McCalls M4814: Three Tiered Sundress (Toddler)
Sizes: CB (1-2-3) Views: A-B-C-D-E-F
Dress #1:

Fabric: Purchased from local JoAnn’s. It’s a lovely summery seersucker.
Size: I made a size 3 in this. I made the mistake of going off DD’s RTW items for size. WOW the pattern size was much much bigger. Watch sizing on this.
Notes: My first attempt at making this pattern. I made view F. There was alot of gathering involved. It was not hard to gather, but took alot of time to do. I did nothing special with this pattern, simply followed what the pattern did.
Summary: Beautiful dress. Can’t wait for DD to grow into it. I love the many tiers. Very easy to sew.

The dress looks beautiful, and it will be lovely when it fits her.
I started dress-view A of this pattern for my daughter in the beginning of summer. I didn’t seek her opinion until after I washed and cut the fabric. She doesn’t like it. I finished about half, and haven’t finished the rest. I’m sure I’ll finish it, but it might be a present for someone else.
I found your blog from sew-retro. I enjoy sewing for my kids, and I like to find others who enjoy sewing for their little ones.
Cute cute dress! I too found this much bigger when I made a certain size!! Love your sewing blog!! Have a great day and happy sewing!!
